Tragedy & Hope Casual Cafe:
We spend a few hours getting to know author, explorer, adventurer Allan C. Weisbecker, as he launches his circumnavigation of North America in his RV with the companionship of his dog, Gus; and embarks on the journey of making his next documentary film.
Prior to making his latest film “Water Time: Surf Travel Diary of a MadMan”, Allan wrote for “Miami Vice”, and has sold 3 of his writing projects to Hollywood. Michael Mann optioned Allan’s first script, John Cusack purchased Allan’s first book “Cosmic Banditos”, where Cusack plans to play the Quantum Physicist in the story, and last but not least Sean Penn purchased Allan’s 2nd book “In Search of Captain Zero: A Surfer’s Road Trip Beyond the End of the Road”, in which Penn at one time at least, planned to play Allan in the film.
